What's on in June...

Tuesday 7th June - from 6pm - we’re excited to be hosting the book launch for our favourite Masterchef, Jock Zonfrillo, and his autobiography - The Last Shot.

Wednesday 8th June - 7.30 - 9.30pm - Writers Victoria present One Starry Night - where authors share their one-star reviews… it’s “equal parts exorcism, self-immolation and hilarious middlebrow entertainment.”

Thursday 16th June - 7-9pm - celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ulysses, with a Bloomsday event hosted by the Celtic Club Melbourne. Tickets are $20.00 and include drink on arrival, canapés and a fun celebration of this unique novel.

Thursday 23rd June - from 6.30pm - Spirit of Punk returns for another brilliant open-mic, poetry slam night.

Sunday 26th June - 3-6pm - The Sunday Session is back with live Irish music.

Thursday 24th March - 6-9pm - is our first whiskey masterclass of the year, showcasing the best in new Irish single malts, from Dingle, Waterford, West Cork and Hyde. Enjoy a cocktail on arrival and guided tasting of five great whiskies, with tasty canapés. Tickets $50. Call or drop in to grab your tickets.

We’ve missed a few things this year, so we’re packing it all in for Christmas.

Wednesday 1st December - 7-8.30pm - Writers Victoria One Starry Night is back, with authors sharing their tragic (but fun) one star reviews. If you have a review to share contact Writers Victoria. Otherwise, just come along and enjoy the fun.

Thursday 2nd December - from 6.30pm Spirit of Punk is finally back! It’s a brilliant open mic-wordslam-reading event that evokes the ethos of punk rock (to have a go and have your voice heard). Come prepared or improvise – any genre, any style – no longer than a Ramones' song.

Sunday 5th December - 3-6pm - Buck’s is turning 5!!!!! So we’re having a party! With live music, drinks specials and an awesome whiskey raffle.

Tuesday 14th December - 7-9pm - Join us for the launch of “Dangerous Visions and New Worlds: Radical Science Fiction, 1950 to 1985” - a look at the kick-arse era of science fiction that changed our world. With readings from classic sci-fi novels, plus discounted copies of the book and a free sci-fi novels for everyone who buys one.

Wednesday 15th December - from 7pm - Sophie’s Choir is back singing all our favourite Christmas carols.

Thursday 16th December - 6-9pm - It wouldn’t be Christmas without Pudding Fest!! With a pop-up whiskey shop for those last minute gifts and free Christmas pudding.

December News!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported us while we were closed, and who have come in to say hello since we've re-opened. It is great to be back!
We think it's time to celebrate the new COVID normal, so here's what we're doing this month... 

Wednesday 9th December - from 7.30pm - our fab Tenx9 Melbourne friends are back (YAY!!!). And we have Great Expectations for some brilliant stories. 

Thursday 17th December - 6-9pm - Christmas Pudding Fest is back too!!! With free Christmas puddings, and complimentary tastings of great whiskies, from Wonderland drinks, plus all bottles for sale on the night. Perfect for that last minute Christmas gift.

And while we're talking Christmas gifts... we also have whiskey gift packs and cute bottles of house-made cocktails, on sale in the venue. Drop in and check out the table near the front door.
Plus, our online shop is still selling a wider range of spirits and wines, for added Christmas cheer.

We’re closed from Christmas Eve, reopening at 2pm on New Years Eve.

Thursday 26th March - 6.30-8.30pm - We’re having our first ever Liquor and Literature Masterclass. Join journalist and whiskey writer Luke McCarthy and renowned author, publisher and whiskey enthusiast Angela Meyer, for a fun and entertaining examination of two of Ireland’s finest exports.
